Ramon Moscardó is one of the most beloved and established figures in the Catalan painting scene. His work celebrates Mediterranean light, everyday life, conversations in cafés, and coastal landscapes.
Together with his twin brother, Josep, he began his studies at the Higher School of Fine Arts and the School of Arts and Crafts in Barcelona. Early in his career, he started exhibiting at Sala Parés Gallery, with which he has continued to collaborate throughout his artistic journey.
His work is defined by a Post-Impressionist style that has evolved to incorporate Constructivist and Expressionist elements, influenced by his travels around the world. His paintings are deeply Mediterranean in spirit, depicting everyday life through a palette dominated by whites, blues, and violets. His agile, expressive, original, and daring draftsmanship gives his paintings a distinctive, almost magical quality. Since the early 1990s, he has lived and worked in Cadaqués.
